Month of Mindfulness

April is here! My room is clean and now it is time to brush off the winter blues. Seeing as I feel like I’m not using my time as productively as I could, I’m ready for a spring cleaning of sorts for my mind. So, I’m challenging myself to a month of mindfulness. Each day I am going to keep myself off of my phone and focused on one task at a time. I’m going to be present in each moment:

  • When drinking tea and eating food, I will simply focus on doing only that and not simultaneously use my phone
  • When writing, I will only write and not get distracted by my phone or anything else
  • In general, I will do one task at a time, focusing all of my energy on that task

Daily Goals:

  • Each morning refrain from checking phone notifications until after breakfast
  • Take at least 10 minutes each day to write and reflect
  • Take a walk (weather permitting)
  • Focus on one task at a time

Feel free to join in! Hopefully, by the end of this month, these daily goals will be habits and I won’t have to think about doing them anymore. Hopefully, they will just become a part of my routine. We shall see!

Happy April 🙂
