Jumbled Thoughts and Inspirational Quotes

Today I woke up not feeling so well, but, somehow, I also woke up feeling inspired. Those two things do not usually coincide but who am I to question? So I am writing for the first time in what feels like ages, simply because I felt inspired to write. I don’t really know what this post is but I am just going to go with it here and hope there is a hidden gem inside this mess of thoughts. As I was saying, I woke up feeling inspired. So, of course, like any normal human being, I fed this inspiration with Pinterest quotes. Not surprisingly at all, it helped. And I ended up here.

I’m going to share a few of the quotes that resonated with me the most and maybe give my take on them. I’m in a very groggy state of mind with my sinuses a bit out of whack so this could turn into something very deep and beautiful or confusing and weird. Either way, it will be interesting.

First of all, after indulging in inspirational quotes all morning, this is what stood out to me. Life is a series of choices. You can choose to have a life filled with “oh wells” or you can choose to have a life filled with “what ifs.” I think it is obvious which one is the better choice, yet, it seems we never realize that we’re choosing the life of “what ifs” until it is too late. We are always waiting for life to begin. We wait until we graduate because then we will have money to do things. We wait until the weekend because then we have more time. We wait until the summer when the weather is nicer. We wait until our busy schedules let up. We wait and we wait and we wait only to realize that while we were waiting for perfect timing that never came, we forgot to live.

This is one of my favorites that I read this morning. The idea that “no one can tell you you’re doing it wrong,” it’s quite true when you consider it. Sure, you may not be living your life the conventional way and society may question your choice to live differently. This is expected whenever you stray from the path. They can’t, however, tell you that you are not living life correctly. There is no correct way to live. Everyone’s idea of living is very different from everyone else’s. So, don’t let anyone make you feel like you are living your life incorrectly. Because, quite simply, there is no such thing.

love this one. We are all so stressed to find our purpose and make the world a better place. We never stop to consider that we can do that just by living our lives the way we wish to see the rest of the world live theirs.

Can you imagine how much kinder the world would be if we all lived this way?

I will leave you with this one. You have the ability to take this day, this moment, this life and make it everything you have ever wanted it to be. You are your biggest motivation, inspiration, competition, and enemy. You hold so much power over yourself. It is up to you how you use it.
